Procedures For Disability Study

You will be researching your disability or disabilities. This is NOT a huge research paper; I just want to make sure you understand what your disability is and how it affects you and your learning. Your assignment requires you to research ALL of your disabilities. If you only have one disability, you must choose one other disability to research as well. You need to research the following things:

bulletWhat does the disability acronym (LD = learning disability, ADD = attention deficit disorder) stand for and what does that mean (a definition and description of the disability)?
bulletExplain each in your own words. (How does it make you feel?)
bulletHow does this disability affect they way you or another would learn and perform at school?
bulletWhat are some things that can be done to help someone with this disability with learning (this includes things that you, parents, teachers, and others can do)?
bulletHow might this disability affect the future of the person (college, job, life)?
bulletList two more unique/other facts about the disability you are studying.
bulletAnd answer this question: Do you need to practice things to help you in order to improve on your disability? Why?
